Situation in Thatta
Three more breaches reported on Saturday have panicked the wide area. There was no visibility of the government administration in the entire area. At least 11 more villages have come under the water, which is proceeding to the Thatta bypass and people feared that it may cause further displacement. PFF team visited the breaching sites observed that the government could have block the flow and avoid disaster but due delay the breaching expanded and now it is out of control. Fears of inundation of Thatta city still prevail and the area is surrounded by flood water.
Evacuation in Thatta

Pakistan Fisherfolk Forum has engaged 370 volunteers with 59 boats to evacuate the people. In the last three days the PFF has evacuated 7000 people from different areas through boats and vehicles. The process of evacuation is still going on by boats, as fears of more breaching and inundation of the district headquarter of Thatta were there.

PFF provided cooked food
PFF provided cooked food to 1500 people on Saturday at Makli neighbourhoods where around 70,000 people have taken ordinarily shelter after breaching from Kot Alam Town. PFF has also provided ORS among 3000 individuals and mussafa to 2000 individuals. PFF rescue and relief team was providing drinking water to 1500 people through a tanker but now the organization has decided to supply more water through tankers, as the people are facing problem.
Shahdadkot-Kambar
PFF Team operating in Shahdadkot-Kambar district on Saturday rescued 184 people from only Shahdadkot villages and brought them to relief camps. Acknowledging the role of PFF, the team was approached by Sindh minister Nadir Khan Magsi and MNA Amir Khan Magsi to continue their rescue work still a single person is stranded in the flood water. On this, PFF team responded positively, asking them that they have come here for the great cause to help the people and will be happy to stay more time for the work.
Supplied Food/ Ration
PFF team with two boats supplied food and non food items, provided by Sindh Minister for Food Sardar Nadir Magsi, to the 50 families living in isolated camps in his constituency. Apart from this, DCO approached PFF team to evacuate eight families from stranded areas, where from the team with local people rescued them.
PFF Relief Camp attracts Legislators
PPP MNA Amir Magsi, Sindh Minister Tauqeer Fatima Bhutto and others visited the PFF Relief Camp set up in Kambar and appreciated the work of the organization. Sardar Amir Magsi asked his persons to provide fuel to the Boats operating PFF both in Shahdadkot and Kambar for rescuing the stranded people and providing them food and medicines.
Media Teams visit
Besides local correspondents of national print and electronic channels, international media persons are also coming to visit the PFF camp, requesting the team to arrange separate visits to see far off areas so they may hunt fresh stories of human interest. In this connection, PFF team also helping them through boats to see and observe if they can take new ideas for their respective organizations. German national Radio Correspondent Ms Sabina with her team took interview of PFF team in charge Yaseen Tunio about the PFF’s role in rescue and relief work. He portrayed the performance and over all work of the organization on humanitarian ground.
Jamshoro
Flood water was roaring towards Johi taluka of district Dadu from Naseerabad. While breach in MNV will benefit Manchar residents and another large space to stored water shall be available between MNV and SP Bund until water level at Manchar gets down. The level of water at Manchar is 12ft so far which is increased from 11.5 last night due to hill torrents caused by heavy rainfall last night. In case of receiving water upto 18ft or more may affect some 15 villages, located near the lake.

Relief Work Updates
PFF is planning to help the flood affected families in Jamshoro District. For this the team members have been advised to speed up their work. In this regard the teams are engaged to prepare the list of beneficiaries through community activists participation, who would be benefited with providing them food items and non food items. In Taluka Manjhand NFIs will be provided to 2000 families and food items to 1400 families and Hygiene Kits to 2000 families. In Taluka Kotri FIs for 2700 families and NFIs for 2700 families will be provided shortly. The water situation is declining but the people yet to come back, as several roads have been damaged, houses and crops destroyed. It needs more time and cost for the communities for rehabilitation in their native areas.
